LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When Netflix’s 'The Umbrella Academy' returns for its fourth and final season, it won’t just have a new timeline, it’ll also bring some new blood to the cast. Nick Offerman seems to be trending this year, first, he was seen as a queer character in 'The Last of Us,' and now he is about to star in a popular Netflix show. Speaking of which, two months after 'The Umbrella Academy' dropped its third season, the streaming giant renewed the comic book-based superhero television series for the fourth and final season. Apparently, the series has also started filming the final season this month.

The cast features Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, Mary J. Blige, John Magaro, Adam Godley, Colm Feore, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood, Marin Ireland, Kate Walsh, Genesis Rodriguez, and Britne Oldford. Until now, all three seasons received positive reviews from critics, and the series has received a number of accolades, including six Emmy nominations.

Is 'The Umbrella Academy' family getting bigger?

Netflix has announced that Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally have joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of 'The Umbrella Academy'. Stand-up comedian and actor David Cross ('Arrested Development') has also been cast. The official Twitter page of the series revealed the news by captioning the post, "The Umbrella Academy family is getting even bigger: welcome Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and David Cross to the cast in the final season!"

'This is epic'

After the news surfaced online, fans officially lost their calm over the new cast added to the series. A fan said, "Show is too woke," while another one wrote, "Nick Offerman is the GOAT! Loved him in TLOU ep 3." A fan commented, "A big win". Another fan shared, "Anything and everything Nick Offerman does is absolutely greatness!!!" A fan tweeted, "David Cross?!! Safe to say, fans approve of this decision way too much. Anyhow, Netflix has not announced an episode count for Season 4, but multiple sources indicate the final season may be shorter than the 10-episode seasons aired in the past.

You can stream the first three seasons of 'The Umbrella Academy' on Netflix.
