On the April 24 episode of '90 Day Fiancé,' fans learned more about some of the new couples featured this season, including Emily and Kobe. Emily and Kobe were reunited after two years apart, and Emily desired some alone time with Kobe before sending him to her house, where she lives with her folks. Fans were outraged when she refused to let him meet his son first. Emily and Kobe met when both were studying in China. Emily was an English teacher, and Kobe was an international underwear model. They met at a bar one night, and Emily revealed some juicy facts about their first date.

Emily had planned for the pair to spend the night in a hotel in the United States when Kobe arrived. “I have a surprise planned for Kobe once he gets to America," Emily said to the '90 Day Fiancé' cameras. "I want to spend one night together before we meet Koban because I’m super worried about what our sex life is going to be like now. I mean, when are we ever going to have sex in my parents’ house? So this is a really important night for me, and I hope he’s on board with it.”

Emily's choice not to allow Kobe to see his kid, Koban, upon his arrival in the United States upset fans. Many people thought the decision was unjust.

During Tell-All Part 2, host Shaun brought up this incident as the two were discussing how their sex life has changed now that they had two children. "8 months, 5 times," Emily responded to the people who were outraged by her plan. She went on to add that she would have driven their kid to the airport, but couldn't because of Covid. She wanted to spend one night with Kobe after not seeing him in 17 months. Furthermore, she also revealed how self-conscious she felt about her appearance at the time.

Kobe, on the other hand, believed he could have psychologically prepared himself better when he was so thrilled to meet his baby for the first time but was informed it wouldn't happen until later. Emily admitted that she owed him an apology and that she should have expressed her plan more clearly. The other cast members rallied around Emily, with Ari even changing her opinion on the matter. Meanwhile, fans on social media are split.
