'6 Underground' is 'the most Michael Bay movie ever' and fans can't get enough of it

'6 Underground' is "Bayhem" in its full glory complete with over-the-top car chases, blood-splattering gore, and even the signature Ryan Reynolds punchline. The movie was released on Netflix this Friday and fans of Michael Bay did not wait long to watch it.

Bay is one of the most commercially successful directors in the world and his movies have grossed over $7.8 billion. He is best remembered for the 'Transformers' movies, 'Armageddon', and 'Pearl Harbour'. His movies are peppered with high-octane action sequences and snappy banter.

Bay does not wait long as the movie starts off with one of the most intense car chases ever right through the streets of Florence. These first few minutes themselves have left fans widemouthed. And with Netflix behind the Michael Bay movie, he is completely untethered.

One fan tweeted, "This might be the most viscerally violent Michael Bay movie in terms of human carnage and I'm 25 minutes in. #6Underground." Another wrote, "#6Underground I just watched the first 20 mins and I'm in a loss of words. Absolutely amazing. Must watch."

Fans are impressed with the stunts. One fan opined, "The stunt driving in the first act of #6Underground is some of the very best ever, I got car sick just from watching it."

Of course, one sentiment echoed throughout social media -- that '6 Underground' is the most Michael Bay movie ever. One viewer wrote, "I'm 15 minutes into #6Underground and it is the most Michael Bay-est movie since Bad Boys II. F the critics, F the haters, F the film snobs, I freaking love Michael Bay! Also, the cinematography deserves awards recognition but it goes ignored because of the kind of movie it's in."

Quite simply, viewers are being left speechless as Michael Bay fans find the movie "beautiful and scary". With the amount of violence in the movie, fans are also seeing what an unrestricted Michael Bay film looks like, as one fan said, "I never realized how much Bay had to censor himself when working under a PG-13 mandate. Everything has changed. #6Underground."

The movie does have its criticisms. Dave Franco's character -- Six -- gets killed in the first quarter of the movie. One viewer tweeted, "Dude, they killed Dave Franco character from 6 Underground in a matter of twenty minutes, like why can’t he stay alive throughout the WHOLE MOVIE?!?"

Another noticed the shortcomings in the cinematography, writing, "If you didn’t know who directed 6 Underground all the Sun Flares & over the top stunts would give it away, still really good fun with loads of action #6Underground."

'6 Underground' is now streaming on Netflix.
