‘59th ACM Awards 2024': P1 Harmony debut as first K-pop band to attend prestigious country music awards

FRISCO, TEXAS: P1 Harmony has become the first K-pop group to attend the 59th Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards. Their appearance was confirmed on May 16, 2024, through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), which thrilled their fans.

At the event, the members of P1 Harmony—Five out of the six members—Jongseob, Soul, Theo, Intak, and Keeho—were in attendance, each sporting a bolo tie, with Intak and Keeho completing their looks with stylish cowboy hats.

While they didn't perform at the ACM Awards, their presence on the red carpet marked a significant milestone, showcasing the global influence of K-pop and their ability to cross into diverse music genres and events.

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, established in 1966, is a prestigious annual event that honors outstanding achievements in the country music industry. Recognized as one of the most important events on the country music calendar, the ACM Awards celebrate top artists, albums, and songs that have significantly impacted the genre. This year features live performances and unique collaborations, such as those by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, as well as cross-genre appearances like Post Malone and Avril Lavigne. 

P1 Harmony reveals Avril Lavigne as dream collab 

Talking to Billboard, P1 Harmony at the ACM Awards red carpet recently revealed their dream collaboration with none other than Avril Lavigne. Yoon Kee-ho, the leader of the group, shared this exciting news and expressed his personal admiration for the Canadian singer.

Kee-ho, being Canadian himself, has always been a fan of Avril Lavigne and her music. He mentioned that it’s not just his personal wish but a shared dream among the entire group to see Avril perform and hopefully collaborate with her in the future.

P1 Harmony promises working on better albums to fans 

P1 Harmony, the dynamic South Korean boy band, has promised their fans to work harder and bring out even better albums in the future at the ACM awards. The leader of the group, Keeho, shared that they are dedicated to improving their music and performances.

He assured fans that they can expect even bigger and better shows from P1 Harmony in the future. Additionally, the band surprised their fans by expressing their interest in exploring country music someday, to showcase their versatility and willingness in embracing different genres.
