5 best Tom Cruise movies
1. 'Collateral' (2004)- Given that his ex-wife, Katie Holmes, is currently dating his co-star, Jamie Foxx, it's unlikely that Cruise will view this movie in his free time. But that shouldn't stop the rest of us from appreciating Foxx as the cab driver hired for the evening and Cruise as a killer in a memorable against-type performance. However, it does serve to diversion.
2. 'Mission: Impossible — Fallout' (2018)- The original 'Mission: Impossible', directed by Brian De Palma, is the movie that, for better or worse, established Cruise as the action hero of his generation. However, this also means that, over the previous ten years, Cruise has produced a lot of action rubble. Although, Cruise will always be dangling from the zip wire in one of our hearts, or perhaps all of them.
3. 'Top Gun: Maverick' (2022)- Maverick, a top navy aviator who has been flying for thirty years, is still pushing the limits of aviation, but when he takes 'Top Gun's elite grads on a mission that necessitates the ultimate sacrifice from those selected to fly it, he is forced to face ghosts from his past.
4. 'Interview With the Vampire' (1994)- Eat me, haters, because those who condemn this movie lack humor. As the supreme vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, Cruise is amusingly bizarre. Brad Pitt, who takes everything in this movie entirely too seriously, is the true issue. Cruise is aware that this is a campy joy rather than a drama.
5. 'The Color Of Money' (1986)- Grizzled Paul Newman reprises his character from 'The Hustler' and passes the matinee idol torch to a young, giddy Cruise in this film. When you look at Cruise's attractive face and consider the strange decisions he would later make in life—a baby wandering off into the pitch-black woods—it's difficult not to die a bit inside.
