4 people injured as American Airlines plane collides with shuttle bus at Los Angeles International Airport
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A passenger bus carrying several people collided with a plane at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, February 10. As per several media reports, a low-speed bus hit an American Airlines plane on a taxiway on the South Complex. At least four people were injured in the crash and are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.The tug driver was rushed to the hospital in moderate condition, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It also confirmed two passengers were transported in fair condition and the sole person aboard the plane, a worker, is being treated too, as per CBS News. However, the latter refused to go to the hospital and received care at the spot. The Los Angeles World Airports released a public statement on the crash. "The aircraft that was being towed from a gate to a remote parking location made physical contact with a bus traveling on the south side of the LAX airfield. Members of the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and treated about five people at the scene (a tug driver plus bus passengers. There is no major operational disruption at LAX," it read. The investigation is on to determine what led to the lapse by the authority.

'Obviously, our wing has been clipped'
In another unrelated incident involving two United Airlines planes, the wings of a plane got clipped on the tarmac at Newark Liberty International on Friday morning, February 3. Boeing 757 headed for Orlando, Florida, was hit by a Boeing 757 Dreamliner and later confirmed by the pilot who announced to passengers, “Obviously, our wing has been clipped.” Presently, the Federal Aviation Authority is investigating the entire incident, reports MEAWW.
