Who is Zhao Chunli? Man, 67, arrested for fatally shooting 7 Chinese farm workers in San Francisco Bay
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: Zhao Chunli, 67 has been arrested for shooting down seven Chinese farm workers in San Francisco Bay. The shooting occurred at two different places - Half Moon Bay, with four shot at a farm, ran by Mountain Mushroom Farm & Rice Trucking. Later three were killed at a trucking company that was two miles away.
According to Daily Mail, he was caught by the police at a housing estate in San Mateo County. This incident is occurring after 72-year-old Huu Can Tran shot down 11 people celebrating Lunar New Year in Monterey Park.

Who is Zhao Chunli?
Chunli was taken into custody by the police at 4.40 PM on Monday, January 23. He was found in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Half Moon Bay substation close to the house estate in San Mateo County. San Mateo County SO tweeted, " The Sheriff's Office is responding to a shooting incident with multiple victims in the area of HWY 92 and the HMB City limits. Media is requested to approach from the north and stage at the Half Moon Bay substation at 537 Kelly Ave. in Half Moon Bay."

It further said, "*Update* Suspect is in custody. There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time." The officials also added, "Sheriff Christina Corpus will be holding a press conference at the Half Moon Bay Substation, 537 Kelly Ave, in Half Moon Bay, in approximately 30 minutes."

According to KRON, it is believed that Chunli was involved in the attack all alone without any external support. San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President Dave Pine claimed that the suspect worked for one of the businesses. He called the suspect a “disgruntled worker," as per AP. According to NBC, when he was taken into custody a weapon was found in his car. Meanwhile, California senator, Josh Becker tweeted, "Gun violence has come to our district today and I will do whatever I can to support the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department and Half Moon Bay city officials during this tragic event. We will continue to monitor this situation. My thoughts go out to all affected." "This is a devastating tragedy for this community and the many families touched by this unspeakable act of violence,” said Sheriff Christina Corpus, as per San Fransisco Chronicle.
