SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO: Three American tourists were stabbed in Puerto Rico early Monday, February 6, as per local reports. It is alleged that the visitors were asked to stop recording at La Perla, a popular seaside community, which led to a stabbing incident. The police said, the scuffle broke after one of the tourists, a South Carolina resident, was asked to stop capturing a mobile hamburger cart and leave the area.

Of the three American tourists, two are still recovering at a nearby hospital, police said. One of the tourists was stabbed six times during the gruesome attack, reports ABC News. The current attack on American tourists is being reported two years after a visitor from Delaware died after he was set on fire. As per police, the tourist was warned not to take pictures while buying drugs in La Perla. He was accompanied by his friend at the time of the attack. His friend was brutally beaten, too, but managed to survive. The town of La Perla shot to fame after ‘Despacito’ song was filmed in the area in 2017. It was released by Puerto Rico singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
