-----------

Chris Daughtry's 25-year-old stepdaughter, who was found dead inside her Tennessee home on Friday, November 12, had to get a prosthetic eye after being shot in the face in an October 2018 incident.

Authorities are yet to establish further details on the cause and manner of the death of Hannah Price, 25, whose life was fraught with trouble in her final years. Her biological father ended his life in March 2018, eight months before she was shot in the face during an apparent gang attack. MEAWW previously reported how she was arrested in an April road rage incident with boyfriend Bobby Jolly, 25, who is now in custody for his apparent involvement in her death.

“My firstborn,” Hannah's mum Deanna Daughtry wrote on Instagram. “I love you endlessly Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.”

As mentioned, Randall Scott Price, Hannah's biological father, committed suicide in March 2018. About eight months later, she and a roommate became embroiled in a run-in with gang members in Humboldt, Tennessee. Hannah was shot in the face and underwent surgery that saw her get a prosthetic eye, per her social media and news reports at the time.

Authorities said the incident involved a teen friend who was trying to join the Crips. Price wrote on Facebook how she was forced to intervene when her roommate took her to a place frequented by gang members, who apparently tried to kill him. Hannah wrote that she had been trying to “save a friend” when she was shot. “I noticed they didn’t have the gun cocked so by the time I noticed they were trying to shoot at him I was trying to run the kid over with my car and I ended up getting shot in the face. I was blind for a little over two weeks and this happened directly after my dad had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. It was a lot,” she wrote online.

Hannah, who was a mother to two small children, set up a GoFundMe campaign on October 19, 2018, showing a grisly photo of her injured face. The fundraiser had raised just over $945 when it was halted. “Hi I am Hannah Price and I am raising money for my medical bills,” she wrote on Facebook. “I was airlifted after being shot in Humboldt TN Oct 12, 2018, and had emergency surgery. I’m also raising money to pay for my next surgery. I do have insurance so it covers most of it but I have an out-of-pocket pay of about $120. I totaled my car whenever I was shot trying to save my friend so I also need to save money to get a new vehicle so that I can start working again.”

Hannah indicated on social media that she was indeed the woman, then 24, identified in a local news story as the victim of a shooting in Humboldt. Authorities said in 2018 that they had arrested a 15-year-old on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with serious bodily injuries, and possession of a handgun during a dangerous felony. According to Hannah, there were at least four "boys" involved in the attack.
