13-year-old Texas boy accidentally shot and killed by best friend while playing with a loaded gun
Nick and his friend, and a few others were at a home fiddling around with a gun which they thought was unloaded because they removed the clip but one of the chambers was not empty
A Texas teen was tragically shot and killed by his best friend while the pair and a group of other boys were playing with a loaded gun at the friend's home. 13-year-old Gabriel 'Gabe' Fernandez was shot in the head during the incident in Pasadena this past Saturday, January 19, and despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he could not be saved.
According to the Daily Mail, Gabriel's mother, 37-year-old Jennifer Valdez, heard the news of her son's shooting from his 15-year-old brother Nick. She said Gabriel and Nick had been gone for all of 20 minutes when she received the call from the latter telling her his younger brother was shot.
