GRENADA, CARRIBEAN: After the departure of Anthony Iracane, which left viewers feeling heartbroken, 'Below Deck' Season 11 introduces a fresh face to the St David crew: Chef Nick Tatlock.
In a sneak peek of Episode 13, set to air on Monday, April 29, fans finally get a glimpse of the new head of the galley and hear the initial thoughts of the existing crew members on their newest addition.
Adding to the excitement of the show, Nick Tatlock joins the St David staff as the latest member. Captain Kerry Titheradge decided to hire him after carefully reviewing numerous CVs from potential candidates and reaching out to the yacht services coordinator via text.
"Hey, get that new chef on a plane ASAP. He's hired," the message read. In a sneak peek of his confessional interview, Nick shared some insights into his professional background and his quick wit.
“I’ve been a chef for 22 years. I think I lost my mind a long time ago. Maybe, I talk to myself too much, I have a few little ticks and go a little bit loopy sometimes, but I’m harmless crazy. You know, I’m not about to murder anyone," Nick said.
What was the crew's reaction to new chef Nick Tatlock?
As Nick made his way onto the St David, it was deckhand Kyle Stillie who caught sight of him first. "Is this the chef?" Kyle shouted, prompting Sunny Marquis to quickly relay the message to the rest of the crew over the walkie-talkie, “All crew, all crew: chef incoming.”
The excitement and anticipation among the crew members grew as they prepared to welcome Nick and get him settled into his new role on the yacht. Without hesitation, Bosun Ben Willoughby made his way swiftly to the dock to welcome the arrival of the new chef. "I’m Nick. Nice to meet you," the new crew member said.
Following his acclimation to the luxurious yacht, Nick proceeded towards the bridge to rendezvous with Kerry. It was in this designated meeting spot that Kerry provided him with a comprehensive explanation as to the reasons behind his employment and the specific responsibilities that were anticipated of him during his tenure onboard.
Kerry explained to Nick that she had to dismiss the previous employee because he had repeatedly failed to properly read the preference sheets.
“I had to let the last guy go… He wasn’t reading the preference sheets properly. I’ve seen you been on some big boats, so I’m not here to teach you how to cook… Of course, work well with the interior team," Kerry told Nick.

Kerry appeared to be content with the recent recruitment of Nick as a new member of his team. However, Sunny noticed a notable difference between Nick and Anthony.
This observation took place while they were all spending time together on the deck, engaging in conversation. Fraser Olender, inquisitive by nature, approached Sunny Marquis, Kyle Stillie, and Dylan Pierre De Villiers, eager to hear their initial thoughts and impressions of the newly hired chef.
Sunny's response to Fraser's inquiry was succinct yet revealing, as she simply stated, "Old, older." Perplexed by her response, Fraser probed further, asking about the specific age of Nick.
In an interview, Nick candidly disclosed that he was 40 years old and credited his involvement in yachting as a factor that contributed to his youthful demeanor.
