In 'Palm Royale' Episode 10, Mitzi (Kaia Gerber) seeks solace in Norma Dellacorte's (Carol Burnett) company and shares her secrets in a moment of vulnerability. Norma realizes how Mitzi's secrets could destroy Maxine's happiness and persuades Mitzi to confront Maxine.

Mitzi then tells Maxine that she is pregnant and wants to keep the child. Maxine, who is under the impression that it is Perry Donohue (Jordan Bridges) who impregnated Mitzi, asks her to confront him and demand marriage.

Mitzi follows Maxine's advice and walks up to Douglas Dellacorte (Josh Lucas) to share the news of her pregnancy. Upon witnessing them together, Maxine finally realizes that Douglas was unfaithful to her.

Toward the end of the episode, Robert Diaz (Ricky Martin) discovers a shocking secret about Norma Dellacorte. When Ann Holiday (Mindy Cohn) presents a slide show on Norma's life, Robert walks up to Axel and asks why did he and Norma part ways.

Axel tells that soon after the death of Norma's father, she lost her roommate as well. He reveals that Norma's roommate Agnes was diabetic and fell from the staircase. Following the accident, Norma appeared to be a different personality altogether and cut off ties with him.

Robert realizes that Norma has been living under a false identity all these years. The one who has been living in Palm Beach is, in fact, Agnes who impersonated Norma who died decades ago.

In the final moments of 'Palm Royale' Season 1, Mary Davidsoul (Julia Duffy) pulls out her gun and aims a shot at President Nixon when he is about to leave the party. Linda Shaw (Laura Dern) steps in and pushes her away.

The fired bullet hits Robert Diaz, who succumbs to the gunshot wound. Maxine and Norma/Agnes are left devastated by his sudden death.

On the other hand, Mary escapes the crime scene and Linda is apprehended as she is found with the gun. Life comes a full circle for Linda who escaped justice 20 years ago when she accidentally shot her own father, Skeet Rollins (Bruce Dern).

Season 1 ends with Maxine and Douglas's fate in Palm Beach on a cliffhanger. Norma's secret stays buried with Robert's death, leaving us to ponder whether it will ever come to light in a potential second season.
