Producers blur Olivia Wilde's nipple-baring sheer lace gown during People's Choice Awards 2022

People noticed the screen was blurred when Olivia Wilde was walking to get her award and became normal once she stepped onto the podium to speak

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: Olivia Wilde shocked everyone by making a dramatic entrance at the 48th People's Choice Awards 2022 wearing a nipple-baring dress. Viewers, however, could not help notice their screens were blurred once the 'Don't Worry Darling' director went on stage to recieve Drama Movie of 2022 award, on Tuesday, December 6.

The producers blurred out the entire screen before the actress started her acceptance speech on stage. It appears that Wilde's dress may have been quickly covered up by the impulsive blur. According to Glamour, the actress' sheer lace plunging black dress was from Dior's resort 2023 collection. The actress' chest was most visible due to the lace design on the top of the garment, as per Elite Daily.

Following the dramatic event, Twitter blew up as reactions poured in. One person tweeted, "NBC trying to hide Olivia Wilde’s nipples on live tv #PCAs." Another commented, "To be a fly on the wall in the NBC booth debating whether to show Olivia Wilde’s outfit or not #PCAs #OliviaWilde"  Another person tweeted, "This literally happened to the camera as Olivia Wilde walked on stage… #PCAs." A fourth added, "I would have loved to be inside the #PCAs control room when they realized Olivia Wilde’s nipples were showing clear as day through her dress during that acceptance speech". "So will Olivia Wilde be given the Janet Jackson treatment," another tweet read.

In just weeks after calling it quits with Styles after nearly two years together, the mother of two braved the red carpet alone. It was revealed in November that Wilde and the 'Watermelon Sugar' singer, who met while filming the movie 'Don't Worry Darling', had decided to take a "break" since their contrasting schedules and priorities were keeping them apart.

Even though it has been reported that Styles and Wilde were still friendly, a source told People that she found it difficult to be apart from the singer. They stated that she was "disappointed" with how things turned out since she had faith in their ability to resolve their issues.
