'Fresh breath of air': Meghan Markle stuns in denim shorts and matching top at Harry's polo match
On Friday, June 17, the Duchess of Sussex, 40, was seen wearing a lovely pair of denim shorts and a matching button-down denim shirt while she cheered for her husband Harry, 37, at a polo match. Meghan looked stunning in photographs, with her hair pulled back, accessorizing with sunglasses and fine jewelry, including a watch.
Meghan Markle is known for her ability to appear classy even when wearing casual wear, even shorts. Meghan was photographed relaxing beneath a tent with Harry, who was dressed in safety gear for the match. On Friday, the Duke of Sussex took part in the game at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. His Los Padres squad, however, fell to rivals Folded Hills in the semi-final, ensuring that they would miss Sunday's Pacific Coast Circuit Intra-Circuit Cup final. Meghan was seen looking dejected as she stood on the sidelines watching the action. Following the game, she was seen soothing her husband with a hand on his leg. After the game, the Duchess hugged Harry's close friend and teammate Nacho Figueras, who has been nicknamed the "David Beckham of polo."

The couple and their children returned to the United Kingdom earlier this month for Queen Elizabeth's much anticipated Platinum Jubilee. An insider stated to The Sun that the Sussex royals asked if they might bring in a private shutterbug to shoot their first face-to-face meeting, but they were ordered not to. The royals kept Prince Harry and Meghan at arm's length throughout the Platinum Jubilee, with no public appearances with the Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William, or his wife Kate Middleton. The Royals were concerned that any photos of the Queen and Lilibet captured by the couple's photographer would be shared with US news networks.
Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, returned to California on Sunday, June 5. It was the couple's first significant public appearance in the United Kingdom since announcing their desire to retire as senior royals in 2020. Even inside the church, Harry and Meghan were sat apart from more senior members of the family, such as Kate and William and Charles and Camilla.
