HANGIN' LOOSE: Jennifer Garner went hang-gliding the day Ben Affleck married Jennifer Lopez
On July 16, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez officially tied the knot in an impromptu Las Vegas ceremony. Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner, the ex-wife of the 'Argo' director, spent her day relaxing in the warm sunshine at Lake Tahoe in California, enjoying her mini break.
Garner posted a series of Instagram Stories over the weekend that showed her enjoying her getaway. Garner spent time hang gliding over the picturesque lake and riding a bike. Bennifer, meanwhile, traveled to Las Vegas on Saturday to pull off a surprise wedding. Both of their kids were present at the ceremony, which took place at the famous A Little White Chapel.

Affleck and Garner had a long marriage that lasted for about ten years. During that time, they had three children together and announced their separation in 2015. In contrast, Affleck and Lopez reconnected in 2021 after the singer called off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
As per Garner's own admission, the breakup with Affleck in 2015 was extremely difficult, but it appears that she has recovered quite well. In 2021, Garner told The Hollywood Reporter, "Going through [the divorce] in public is not what's hard; going through it is what's hard." But a few years after the breakup, Garner was much more at peace with everything. "We'll dance when our kids get married, I know that now," she said. "We'll dance and enjoy ourselves. I'm no longer concerned about that."

Jennifer Lopez, through her newsletter, On the JLo, the "On the Floor" singer, announced their marriage to her followers, saying, "We did it." She also had a few words of wisdom to share. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out, love is patient. Twenty years patient,” the Hustlers star penned the post, which was released on July 17. “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.” The couple married nearly three months after Affleck proposed for the second time in April. Lopez announced their engagement at the time by posting a video on Instagram of the green diamond ring that the 'Gone Girl' actor proposed with.

Affleck and Lopez were previously engaged in September 2003, but the wedding was postponed due to "media scrutiny." They called quits, scuttling their wedding plans and ending their romance in January 2004. The couple reconnected in late April 2021, just two weeks after Lopez and her then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez split up.
