Why was YouTuber Leafy's account suspended and is Keemstar leaving Twitter after sharing insider details?

Internet is pleased with Leafy's YouTube account suspension for violation of community guidelines

On Friday, August 21, YouTuber Leafy aka Calvin Lee “Leafy” Vail’s account was suspended from the platform. As his puzzled subscribers began wondering about what might have happened, DramaAlert’s Daniel “Keemstar” Keem threw light on the situation. In a series of tweets, Keem revealed that Leafy's YouTube account was terminated due to violations of the platform's terms and services, harassment and bullying. 

Keem tweeted, "Breaking @Leafy channel just got terminated by YouTube. #DramaAlert." Alongside a screenshot displaying the message "This account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten.” In the following tweet, Keem explained how as per his knowledge, Leafy had 0 community guidelines strikes at the time of his account's termination. Keem posted, "As far as I know at the time of Leafy getting Terminated he had 0 community guidelines strikes. A few months ago he got a few strikes but those were reversed. So he either got three strikes all at once or you know who called Susan with a Tactical drone strike."

Just weeks prior to Leafy's account's suspension, the young YouTuber has allegedly posted several videos about Twitch star Imane Anys aka Pokimane. In his videos, he reportedly poked fun at Anys's appearance and even claimed that she had a boyfriend, who she was hiding from her Twitch subscribers. Leafy continued with his attacks against Anys. He even took to his Twitter, just hours before his YouTube got terminated, to post, "I still don't get why the t3 subs are angry - if pokimane breaks up with her boyfriend because of all this then shouldn't they be thanking me?"

Leafy reportedly received a lot of backlash from people on the internet for his snide comments about Pokimane. So, when the internet got the news of his account's suspension, they were thrilled. A user tweeted, "Hopefully the Leafy ban is only the beginning of YouTube taking action on channels whose content is primarily at the expense of others Harassment veiled as "criticism".

Another user wrote, "Leafy: Has an entire body of work based on content designed to harass, bully, or threaten Leafy's YT Account: Gets terminated because of multiple violations of policy forbidden content designed to harass, bully, or threaten Leafy:"

"I'm SO glad leafy's channel got terminated. mother****** stole dream island and then just got away with it??? thats crazy," expressed a user.

"People will be scrambling to lay the blame for Leafy's ban somewhere but honestly when your channel is that blatantly in violation of YT's rules on harassment the only real question is why they didn't ban it sooner," wondered a user.

As the Leafy's account termination drama intensified, people began wondering if Keem would be quitting Twitter. While Keem hasn't mentioned anything about leaving Twitter, his fans have nothing to worry about. Despite several claims of leaving or taking a break from Twitter, Keem has always returned on the popular microblogging platform.
