MESA, ARIZONA: Former news anchor and United States Senate candidate in Arizona Kari Lake took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to congratulate Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on the release of her new book, ‘MTG’.

Greene and Lake both indulged in a little friendly back and forth on the social media platform, and Lake also used the opportunity to promote her own book, ‘Unafraid’.

After Lake promoted Greene’s book on the social media platform, the internet couldn’t help but mock both the Senate candidate and the congresswoman.

In her post on X, Kari Lake wrote, “Congrats on the new book!”

Lake added, “@mtgreenee is a voice for truth and justice. Read her new book and be inspired to join the fight for America's future! Get it now.” Along with that, Lake also added a link for her followers on X, from where they could buy ‘MTG’ online.

In addition, Lake also promoted her own book, “And while you’re there check out my book, too—UNAFRAID by Kari Lake.” She added, “Great gift idea for the holidays,” as she provided the purchase link for this book too.

Greene responded to Lake from both her accounts on X. One on, she retweeted the Senate candidate’s post and wrote, “Thank you, Kari!”

From her other account, Greene commented, “Thank you Kari! Praying for you to win in AZ!”

“Can’t wait for you to join me in the fight in Washington!” added Greene.

Internet reacts to Kari Lake promoting ‘MTG’

After Kari Lake congratulated Marjorie Taylor Greene on her new book and asked everyone to read it, the internet was quick to respond as they took this opportunity to mock both Lake and Greene.

One user wrote, “Kari is the only person I have heard praise your book, everyone else says it’s trash,” and another wrote, “Grifters gotta support grifters.”

“You’re both jokes,” mocked one user. A fourth wrote, “Laughing my a** off, no way.”

Lake and Greene continued to face ridicule online as one user further said, “Hey, if you buy each other's books, you might just double your sales, LOL,” and another quipped, “What’s the bigger shock? Marje can write or Kari Lake can read?”
