'Younger' star Deni Mazar took to social media to announce that she has been tested positive for coronavirus while adding that she is "ok". Mazar revealed that she and her family, that includes her husband and two teenage daughters, fell ill a month ago. She described the symptoms as "low-grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough".

However, she revealed that all of them became fine after a couple of days which forced them to dismiss the idea of having coronavirus. Even though Mazar felt that this flu was unlike what the family had before, she reveals that they did not think much about it because it was gone.

Two weeks later, they were surprised to find out that the symptoms were back but this time, the symptoms were different as she describes, "super intense body aches, and 102.4 fever". Just the day before Mazar reveals she had "cocktails and smoked a few cigarettes. I figured I had jacked my immune system from having a fun night with friends".

Fearful that it might be coronavirus, Mazar decided to call one of her friends who was also a doctor and insisted on getting tested. However, she was denied the test as the criteria did not make it likely for her to get the virus. The criteria states that in order to get tested, a person should have travel history or should have been in contact with someone who had been abroad.

However, these did not fit with Mazar, which made it impossible for her to get tested. "I found this kind of a CRAZY criteria for an NY’er as I had taken the subway, gone to the theater, the grocery store, the pharmacy, hair salon, etc. I was the Mom who was trying to prepare the home and get supplies & bleach wipes, dry goods. extra food etc."

Finally, with the help of a friend, Mazar found a hospital that was testing for coronavirus. She was first tested for flu, which came out negative. Later, they did the coronavirus test, which had her waiting for the results for nearly 3-7 days. Mazar was not happy because in South Korea, it takes only two hours.

Regardless of this, the actress revealed that the test results came out positive. She then updated her fans on how she has been doing. "One day I feel crappy and the next I’m normal. Today my lungs are heavy, but I’m tough."

She further added, "I can breathe, and I’m going to heal here, in my own home! My family is under quarantine for 14 days. They have no symptoms. I think we all had it possibly already? Who knows." She urged everyone to stay indoors and be safe.
