‘Young Sheldon’ season 3: Georgie Cooper 'makes it rain' as he proves his business skills

Georgie Cooper's excellent salesmanship shines through in the premiere episode of 'Young Sheldon' season 3.
PUBLISHED SEP 27, 2019

The three Cooper children have unique gifts- Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) is the young genius of the Cooper household, his twin sister Missy (Raegan Revord) is a street-smart child, while the oldest one Georgie (Montana Jordan) is seen as a dim-witted and lazy child, who relied on his good looks to get by in life.

But the premiere episode of season 3 showed the oldest Cooper child in a new light as a smart businessman. Georgie buys 50 snow-globes with the Texas flag inside it, from a store which was going out of business at a throw-away price. He then decides to sell them at a profit and pitches the idea to his father, George Sr. (Lance Barber). George, who is familiar with his son’s lazy and dumb nature, dismisses it. Out of spite for his father, Georgie bets that he would sell all the globes and make a decent profit.

The very next morning, he begins going door-to-door trying to sell the globes but finds no buyers. He then revamps his strategy, and instead of pushing the snow globe on the potential buyers, he begins by engaging with them and appealing to their emotions and eventually gets them to buy his product. By the end of the day, he has sold all of his inventory. He then goes home and “makes it rain” by throwing the wads of cash in the air, to his father’s surprise.

Fans absolutely dig the business-savvy side of Georgie and couldn’t stop praising him. A fan wrote, “OMG!!!! Georgie has takers. His advice: Tap into the emotions of people and they will listen to you. People do things they normally wouldn't do if they get sappy and all emotional. GENIUS!! HAHA!! @MontanaJordan7 @YoungSheldon #YoungSheldon”. Another fan tweeted, “@YoungSheldon Well. It looks like Georgie has a knack for selling stuff.  #YoungSheldon”. A fan pointed, “Well Georgie made it snow... money..... George will think 10x before making a bet with his kids. They gonna do the impossible just out of spite #YoungSheldon”.
