‘Young Sheldon’ season 3 spoilers reveals Sheldon taking a page from Nikola Tesla’s book for inspiration
Our favorite young genius, Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) is back with season 3 of 'Young Sheldon'. Set in the late 80s and early 90s Texas, we get to witness the trials and tribulations of this young genius as he struggles to understand the social and religious norms of Texas. His devout Christian mother, Mary Cooper (Zoe Perry) tries to push him to come to Church, while his sports-loving father George Cooper Sr. (Lance Barber) struggles to understand his youngest son who seems more interested in school than sports.
A teaser released on the show's official Twitter page reminds us why we love this eccentric goofball. Sheldon is seen wearing a strange mask, as his mother Mary walks in. She immediately asks him why he is wearing the mask. Our hero tells her that he is trying to "block out sensory input", and takes inspiration from the renowned scientist Nikola Tesla who believed that "isolation is where ideas are born". A concerned Mary asks her son, how isolated Tesla was. Sheldon then explains to her that he found human interaction revolting, but towards the end, he made friends with a brown pigeon. We couldn't help laughing at his innocence and Mary's concerns.

The third season will also see Sheldon turning 11. So we'll see him going off to college (as revealed by Sheldon on 'The Big Bang Theory'), so it will be interesting to see the shift in dynamics among the Coopers, and also the fresh adventures of Sheldon in college.
Actor Craig T Nelson of 'Parenthood' and 'Coach' fame is all set to appear in a recurring role in season 3 of 'Young Sheldon'. Nelson will be reprising the role of Little League baseball coach, Coach Dale Ballard. George Sr., who is a football coach, will be locking horns with Dale Ballard. Dale's character will be introduced in the sixth episode of season 3. Sheldon's twin sister Missy (Raegan Revord), will be showing interest in joining the baseball team, and will have to impress Dale to secure the spot.
'Young Sheldon' season 3 is set to premiere on Thursday, September 26, at 8.30/7.30c. Following the premiere, you can catch up on all-new episodes every Thursday at 8.30/7.30c only on CBS and CBS All Access.
