'Young Rock': When will Episode 1 air? 'Working the Gimmick' shows a teen's life around wrestling icons
'Young Rock', an upcoming NBC comedy TV series, will focus on the different chapters in the life of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The series will give fans a look into the now-famous actor's family life, his career as a professional wrestler, his accomplishments as a footballer at University of Miami, all the way to who the 'Fast & Furious' megastar is today. The titles for the first two episodes have already been released, and many fans of Johnson are excited to see his life play out in the series with different actors playing him at different ages.
Adrian Groulx will play the role of Dwayne Johnson (aka Dewey) at age 10, Bradley Constant will play Johnson at age 15 and Uli Latukefu will play the former wrestler between the ages 18 and 20. The Rock himself will be the narrator of his own life as he takes us through his entire journey to stardom. Read on to find out what the premiere episode will be about and when it will air.

When will 'Young Rock' Season 1 Episode 1 air?
The first episode of the comedy series titled 'Working the Gimmick' will air on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 8 pm EST on NBC. If you'd like to stream the show live, you can watch it on Hulu or YouTube TV. New episodes of the sitcom will be available on Peacock, eight days after it airs on the NBC network. If you miss the episode on February 16, it will be re-broadcasted on February 18, 2021, at 8.30 pm EST.
What is 'Working the Gimmick' about?
The official synopsis of the episode reads, "As Dwayne Johnson runs for president in 2032, he reflects on his surreal life that's helped shape him into the man he is today. From growing up in a resilient family surrounded by wrestling icons, navigating rebellious teen years, to playing NCAA football at the U. This is how the boy became the man."
