DENVER, COLORADO: A chilling video of a New Zealand man getting shot dead by cops showed his last moments via bodycam footage. The man identified as Christian Glass called the cops for roadside assistance after his car got stuck in a bush in the incident dating back to June. The 22-year-old was shot dead despite him begging for help and making heart signs with his hands.

According to The Daily Mail, Glass was shot five times after calling the police for help to move his car in Denver, Colorado. Officers, defending their actions, claimed that Christian became “argumentative and uncooperative” adding that he had tried to stab an officer. Glass's parents, on the other hand, slammed the police and demanded an investigation. The autopsy found that Glass died of gunshot wounds. It said he had THC, a .01 percent blood alcohol concentration, and amphetamine in his system, the last of which might be from his ADHD prescription.

According to the body cam footage released by Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office, Glass refused to get out of his car saying he was scared as officers yelled at him to exit the vehicle. “Please, push me out, drag me out, I'll follow you to a police station," Glass told the officers, adding, “I'm so scared.” At one point the young Kiwi man can be seen praying with folded hands and saying, “Dear Lord, please, don't let them break the window.”

Christian had initially called 911 admitting he had weapons on him but that explained he would get rid of them when police will arrive. “I have a weapon on me, I will throw them out the window as soon as an officer gets here. I have two knives, and a hammer, and a rubber mallet, I guess that is a weapon. I am not dangerous. I will keep my hands completely visible.”

The parents' attorney, Siddhartha Rathod shed light on the unfortunate incident saying, “Christian was experiencing a crisis, and he called 911 for help. And yet these officers busted out Christian's window, shot him six times with bean bag rounds, tased him multiple times from two Tasers, and then shot him five times.”

According to news site Stuff, Glass’s father Simon, and his mother, Sally, held an emotional press conference recently. Speaking to reporters, Simon said, “It was dark and he was really worried. He trusted the police to come and help him. Instead, they attacked and killed him,” adding, “The killer shot Christian five times, just to make sure. I’ve lost countless hours of sleep to the nightmares, it makes me sick.

Simon further said, “The officer showed a callous disregard for human life- he was a bully. Yet that bully is apparently back on the street and still serves today.” He added, “This inexcusable account is still not corrected to this day. How could we trust the police to serve and protect with leadership like that? It was a murder by a Colorado official – it cannot stand. It is not right.” He further said that he wanted action. “I must now spend the rest of my life trying to recover from this appalling, crushing loss. No one seems to know what to do here but I can tell you what I’m looking for – it is justice, justice.”
