Contains spoilers for You Season 2 Episode 4

Joe isn't the only one with a traumatic childhood memory as Delilah shares her bitter memory of being hurt by Henderson, towards the end of episode 3. It is revealed that Henderson has a soundproof secret room in his basement in which he takes his little victims and films them after doing nasty things to them.

Most of his victims were minor underage girls who were drugged and abused. Since Ellie was getting close to him, Joe and Delilah wanted to save her from Henderson. Ever since Delilah revealed the reason she wants to keep Ellie away from him, Joe decides to help her find evidence against Henderson so that she can redeem herself and show the world the true face of the perpetrator.

Joe sneaks into Henderson’s house to find the sex dungeon and finds images of girls who he has abused. One of the images belonged to Delilah when she was young.

Joe has a soft spot for troubled kids and it is evident as we saw his relationship with Paco in Season 1 and Ellie in Season 2. He is all about protecting the kids and be a better person in life, since he had a messed up childhood himself.

Joe captures Henderson and locks him down in the sex dungeon, and makes him confess on tape about his horrific deeds. Henderson comes out with shocking revelations stating that his pedophilia is a result of his childhood trauma. Henderson was raped by his father and his mom shut him up every time.

As he goes on to confess it on cam, Henderson picks on Joe's psyche which triggers a painful memory. Joe recalls his dad telling him, “Pain can make people truthful” and immediately stubs a burning cigarette on him. This is the same thing he does to Henderson and makes him tell the truth.

For a change, we can see Joe emerge as a hero by bringing justice to the girls. But just as he is trying to do the right thing, Henderson tries to escape, only to die accidentally as Joe grabs him down the stairs.

His death was a lot like the way Beck died in season 1. On the stairs, trying to escape as Joe grabs her from behind and pulls her down to death. He did the same thing with Henderson and he went tumbling down and got his neck cracked. This last scene, in particular, was a major throwback to Beck's death in Season 1.

The conflict of interest here is that Joe never wanted things to end with Beck the way they did, and he never wanted to kill Henderson either. Call it a twist of fate, he ended up killing Henderson, anyway.

Catch the premiere of 'You' Season 2 on Netflix on December 26.
