A deadly battle is coming up. When it comes to saving the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) has never given it a moment's thought. If there was a threat of a ski resort at the ranch earlier, it's time for a new airport dream – oh, and an entire city – at the ranch. But how many times can he save his land from the ones eyeing it? How many times can John win?

In the latest episode of Paramount Network's ‘Yellowstone’, Roarke Morris (Josh Holloway) taste's failure as his stocks start tumbling. Titled ‘Cowboys and Dreamers’, the hour-long drama delves into Roarke's business plans and shows how visibly impatient and exasperated he is when he finds out about the dip in his stocks. To divert his mind, he takes his rucksack and fishing rod and heads out. Just as he is about to leave, he gets another call that tells him the stock crashed yet again.

He hurls his rucksack to the ground and screams in anger. Roarke then drives down to see Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) at a bar. "It's 5 o clock. Shouldn't you be in a river somewhere?" she retorts as soon as she sees him. When Roarke tries to hint on how she's interfering in his business and he could do the same, she asks him: "You are trying to hurt me back, is that what you are trying to say? Because I have been down this road many, many times, buddy. And anyone can tell you how poorly that worked out."

It's not easy to change Beth's mind but Roarke seems up to the task. Trying to put some sense into her, he says: "That land is not your family's legacy. It is a relic that you continue to appreciate until your family can no longer afford it and then you will lose it. Wealth is the only legacy left and you know it." Not just that, he goes on to tell her to "be the smart businesswoman you are and make us a deal that creates a real legacy for your family," and even offers 500 to 600 million dollars.

Her very next statement may put viewers into a dilemma. "I agree on all fronts, Roarke. I do. And I wish to God, that he would do that. But he won't. So we fight." When Roarke tells her, "You have no idea how wrong you are," she blatantly says, "Oh, right back at ya!" What's more, she gives him a stern warning with her punchline. "You are the trailer park, I am the tornado," she tells him.

Of course, she doesn't agree with him and pushes him out of the conversation. But just the fact that she agrees to his logical explanation gives us the creeps and makes us wonder if she could slowly inch towards Roarke's idea. And if that happens, will she betray her father – and in turn, her love Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) – who has been loyal to the Duttons since the day he entered the family.

Fans certainly feel there's a chance that could happen. Some are even shipping Roarke and Beth together. "If you think you have no interest in #Yellowstone, please check out this clip from the upcoming season. Because every soap fan on the planet is gonna be shipping Beth and Roarke," one said and another posted, "Beth is my spirit animal! But if she hurts Rip again I might change my mind."

Even though chances are bleak, only time will tell whether Beth turns against her own family. For now, catch the new episodes of ‘Yellowstone’ every Sunday at 9 pm ET on Paramount Network.
