Netflix's 'Yaksha: Ruthless Operations' is another spy flick that's soon to come and promises to deliver incredible action sequences, betrayal and danger-filled missions. The action-thriller will see the ruthless leader of an overseas black ops team, go on a perilous mission in a treacherous battleground of spies and agents and try to achieve his objective at all cost. What is 'Yaksha: Ruthless Operations' about
According to the official Netflix synopsis: 'With the highest spy density in the world, Shenyang is the geopolitical key point in North-East Asia. Kang-in, team leader of the BlackTeam dedicated to overseas secret operations in South Korea, is active in Shenyang. He is a veteran who will do anything and everything he can to accomplish his mission, and he is commonly referred to as ‘Yaksha’. One day, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) find out that all of the report findings on local trends in Shenyang (sent by the Black Team) are actually fake. Seriously troubled by this, the 4th Director of the NIS, Ms. Yeom Jeong-won, dispatches Seoul Central Prosecutor's Office Prosecutor Han Ji-hoon as a special inspector. Yaksha and the Black Team try to exclude/shake-off Ji-hoon (Special Inspector), but he persistently follows the Black Team's operations.
Who stars in the Netflix Korean action thriller movie
Sol Kyung-gu as Kang-in, head of the Shenyang branch of the NIS
Sol Kyung-gu is popular South Korean actor. After having studied Theater and Film at Hanyang University he graduated in 1994 and began working in many theatrical productions, such as the hit Korean adaptation of the German rock musical 'Subway Line 1', and Sam Shepard's 'True West and A. R. Gurney's 'Love Letters'. Some of his world include 'Silmido', ' The Tower', 'Cold Eyes', 'My Dictator', 'Idol' and more. He is most popularly known for his roles in ' Peppermint Candy', 'Oasis', 'Hope' and 'The Merciless'. The 54-year-old in his career has made a name for himself and is a recipient of various awards in the South Korean film industry. He will essay the main role of Kang-in aka Yaksha.
The rest of the cast consists of Park Hae-soo as Ji-hoon, a prosecutor from the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, Yang Dong-geun as Chief Hong, Lee El as Hee-won (a veteran senior agent of the black team), Song Jae-rim as Jae-gyu, Park Jinyoung as Jeong-dae, Lee Soo-kyung as Mun Ju-yeon, Jin Kyung as Yeom Jeong-won, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi as a Japanese spy, Ahn Jeong-ho and Ha Jung-min.
