Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated rapper Andre Johnson, best known for infamously chopping off his penis during a mental breakdown in 2014, has tied the knot with his girlfriend of six months.

Johnson, who goes by the stage name Christ Bearer, confirmed to TMZ that he got married to wife Cheryl in a small, private ceremony on December 30, even going so far as to state that his penis, which was successfully reattached by surgeons after his stunt, was fully functional that night.

The rapper revealed he had dated Cheryl for six months before they walked down the aisle together but that they had known each other for a much longer time. He said she kept him grounded and focused on his work, and that she has been his support system ever since the painful incident where he cut off his penis while high on a concoction of drugs.

Johnson had made headlines in April 2014 when he attempted to perform a vasectomy on himself and jumped from a second-floor balcony of a building in North Hollywood, California.

He had talked about the incident openly during an interview with VladTV in 2015 and said he had reached that point because of "PCP and meth and molly and alcohol and no sleep."

He went on to suggest he had no regrets doing so. "I’m the only man ever did what the f--- I did, and I’m proud of it," he shared. "Why? In the annals of history, I don’t think you got anybody who ever did it. That was a flooper; we all done woke up from a flooper. Maybe not a flooper as big as me."

He had also opened up about the harrowing incident in a tell-all interview with BBC Three for its segment on him, 'Christ Bearer: The Rapper Who Cut His Penis Off,' explaining how he was depressed and that more people need to talk about mental health.

"I didn’t even notice I was depressed," he said. "Due to that macho air, no one even notices if they are going through depression."

"In my neighborhood, you don’t tell nobody you depressed and shit. When we have mental health issues, we turn to drugs – you know, 'smoke this,' 'have a drink.' 'Maaan, you need to get high.'"

Johnson told TMZ he's in a much better place now and that he's even working on a new album.
