'Wrestlemania 36': Furious fans weigh in on Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler fight, say 'the ending was horrible'

Becky pulled a Bret Hart by doing a backward roll to counter Shayna's Kirifuda Clutch pinning her down and that was it. The fight was over and fans just couldn't believe it ended that quick

It wasn't the kind of scrimmage fans would have hoped for after Becky Lynch trounced Shayna Baszler on 'Wrestlemania 36' night. To them, the quick finish after the latter was pinned when she tried to use the Kirifuda Clutch was surprising. For those who hoped for an intense fight, disappointment was writ large as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One fan wrote, "That women’s championship finish" and triggered a string of replies from agitated fans.

"Division was buried at the altar of Becky. I honestly hope this company shuts down and hits the reset button. It's in DIRE NEED of it. The Division on both shows suck, and it needs to be completely rethought. This is just BEYOND awful. Hope the pizza was good though," tweeted another.

One was still processing his shock as he asked, "What the Hell is going on here?"

"The match was definitely short and anticlimactic considering how violent their feud has been! It should have been much longer with at least the announce deal getting destroyed! Becky’s Big rig was pretty badass though," opined another fan. For this fan, it was a short and simple theory: "They ruined the match".

"Ya match should've gotten wayyyyy more time. Agree though they should've gone with @QoSBaszler," tweeted one of the fans. Meanwhile, Becky fans didn't really weigh in too much. After all, a win's a win. That she pulled a Bret Hart was enough for fans as they expressed their happiness after Becky took home the win. One fan said, "I’m happy she won". This fan may have missed the game as he had an important chore: "I missed the whole match rocking the baby. Heard beckys music playing I’m like whattt hasn’t been 5 minutes".

Here's a theory that was tweeted out by another fan who caught the fight: "I thought the match was a perfect length, I hate when matches go on too long. It would’ve been fine by me if Becky won, but Shayna should’ve had ridiculous offense. Becky should’ve been defending herself rather than attacking her if that makes sense."

Separately, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross defeated The Kabuki Warriors in the Women's Tag Team Championships.
