From a small, remote town named Caroga Lake to the 'World of Dance' stage, Kurtis Sprung has had quite a journey. Sprung, who is a contemporary dancer, came on the show hoping to bag the coveted title of 'Best Dance in the World'. But his journey was anything but smooth. Growing up in such a small town posed many hardships for the talented dancer.

In his introduction, he explained how in his small town dancing wasn't taken seriously. So, as a child when he danced, the bullies would choke him until he fainted. As he grew older, the bullies resorted to verbally abuse him. But he never let that get to him and continued pursuing his passion for dancing. Unlike the other contestants, when Sprung walked in for the audition and saw Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo in the judges' seats, he wasn't rattled or startled. When asked how he felt upon seeing the judges, he calmly replied that he loved dancing and would dance for anybody willing to watch him. Ne-Yo loved the response and encouraged Sprung to showcase his moves.

Soon, Sprung began performing some brilliant dance moves to the song 'Torches' by X Ambassadors. By the end of his routine, the judges couldn't stop singing praises of his jaw-dropping acrobatic moves. Although JLo felt that he was too into his head and could have conveyed his emotions better, she admitted that he did possess the skills and talents. So, she decided to go with a call back. While Ne-Yo and Derek decided to give Sprung a chance to compete on the stage with the other dancers and gave him a yes.

Fans too couldn't stop raving about Kurtis's beautiful, moving performance. A fan tweeted, "Go #Kurtis! Keep working hard and you can win this year’s competition! #WorldOfDance." Another fan wrote, "Wow Kurtis Sprung is truly gifted! #WorldOfDance." One more said, "@NBCWorldofDance Kurtis Sprung for the win!!! Such a moving performance #WorldOfDance." Another fan shared, "I hope Kurtis wins the whole damn thing @NBCWorldofDance #WorldOfDance & his bullies can shove it!" Another fan said, "Overcoming bullies means Kurtis Sprung has already won! #WorldOfDance."

'World of Dance' Season 4 airs every Tuesday at 10/9c only on ABC.
