Women forget traumatic incidents more easily and so have a higher pain threshold than men: Study
The study was conducted by Jeffrey Mogil at the McGill University and the results were published in the journal 'Current Biology'
When it comes to physical pain and tolerance, looks like women have the upper hand! A new study suggests women tend to have a much higher pain threshold as compared to men and it all comes down to how both the sexes remember their past agony.
Scientists in Canada were very surprised and shocked to find men and women don't recall past pain in the same way. According to the results, women tend to forget past instances of experiencing pain while men don't and when faced with experiencing similar pain again, men tend to be a lot more "stressed and hypersensitive" toward it, unlike women. The study was led by Jeffrey Mogil at the McGill University.
