Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, who is currently under investigation on charges of sex trafficking and having a sexual relationship with an underage girl, is scheduled to speak at the 'Save America Summit', organized by Women for America First this week. The event is already garnering a lot of criticism for selecting Gaetz as one of the speakers amid the ongoing probe against him. 

The Republican event will highlight issues like election integrity, Big Tech, and defeating the Biden/Harris agenda, among other topics. Among the scheduled speeches and events for the three-day summit, there is a special dinner segment with Matt Gaetz titled 'BBQ, Roots & Bluegrass Dinner' which costs $500 to register. The 'Save America Summit' hosted by Women For America First will be held from Thursday, April 8, 2021, to Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Agenda

The summit will focus on a number of key Republican agendas including election integrity, which is listed as the priority agenda for the event. It will also highlight Big Tech and censorship, protection of the First and Second Amendments, furthering America First policies, and defeating the 'radical' Biden/Harris agenda. 

List of speakers

'Save America Summit' will feature a number of prominent GOP leaders and strategists as speakers. The list includes Representatives Matt Gaetz from Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Louie Gohmert of Texas as well as controversial conspiracy theorists Jack Posobiec and Amy Kremer, according to Newsweek. Tickets

The tickets for the 'Save America Summit' range between $500 to $5000 per attendee. The general admission charges are $500 which also includes golf and spa discounts at the Trump National Doral. Ever since Matt Gaetz was announced as one of the guest speakers at the 'Women For America First', Twitter users have shared strong reactions against it. They are pointing out the irony of his attendance while facing allegations of sex trafficking a minor. 

"Matt Gaetz speaking at a Women for America First is like Hannibal Lecter speaking at a vegan conference," a certain user tweeted, while another wrote, "Matt Gaetz speaking at a Women for America First convention is like Jared from Subway speaking at a Girl Scouts meeting."

One user remarked, "What the f**k! So, what’s Matt Gaetz gonna speak to the ‘Women for America First’ about?!?! The drawbacks of paying for sex with ApplePay, techniques for showing naked photos of women you’ve slept with to coworkers, or how much ecstasy do you need when sex trafficking minors?!?!"
Another user wrote in disbelief, "I’m assuming this is a giant joke post. “Women for America First”. Best joke of the day."

Gaetz has consistently denied the allegations of sex trafficking against him.
