Woman walks onto airplane wing to get some air after complaining she's 'too hot' as stunned passengers watch
In a bizarre incident, a woman decided to take a small walk onto the wing of an airplane in order to 'cool off'. The woman has now been blacklisted from flying.
Ukraine International Airlines revealed that the woman had "opened the emergency exit and went on its wing" just moments after landing at Kiev from Turkey, The Sun reports. The woman opened the emergency exit while on the Boeing 737-86N and then climbed onto the wing 'to get some air'.
It is said that the mother of two was feeling 'too hot' after the flight landed from the Turkish resort city of Antalya. The video shows the woman casually walking along the plane's wing before slowly climbing back inside the cabin to rejoin her family.
Another passenger spoke to reporters and said, "The aircraft landed and almost all the passengers got off. She walked almost all the way from the tail to the emergency exit row, opened the door, and went out. By that time her two children were outside the plane and standing right next to me."
"They were surprised, saying, 'that's our mum!" the passenger added. The pilot had to call an ambulance, the police, as well as border guards. The woman spoke to the cops and told them she was too hot. According to tests, she had no alcohol or drugs in her system at the time.
The woman had been traveling along with her husband and their two children for a family vacation ahead of the school term. Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) addressed the strange incident via a statement saying that the mother was now "blacklisted".
The statement shared, "A passenger of flight PS6212 Antalya-Kyiv illegally opened the emergency exit of the plane after it stopped near gate 11 of terminal D and went on to its wing. The passenger was flying on a charter vacation with her husband and children."
"The chief pilot immediately summoned the aviation security, border service, police and medical centre of Boryspil Airport. The passenger was blacklisted for gross violation of aviation safety rules and behavior on board," the statement added.
The UIA also called out the woman's behavior and accused her of setting a poor 'parental example'. They have also demanded that the woman be fined 'an exceptionally high financial penalty'.
Many social media users commented on the video clip in shock. One such user shared, "Does she not know that the air is a lot cooler when it's inflight?" Another social media user commented and said, "Good to know people know how to work those doors." Yet another commented saying, "She should not be allowed to sit near an emergency exit in her lifetime to ensure safety of other passengers. Please indicate that in her passport for future references."
Does she not know that the air is a lot cooler when it's inflight?

There were one or two who seemed to be supportive of the woman. One such user shared, "Have you ever been stuck on a tarmac? Its not completely insane and frankly I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often." While another wrote, "Can't blame her. It's miserable sitting on a cramped plane with poor ventilation and no air conditioning."
