ABUSE NIGHTMARE: Woman reveals private hell as "charming" man she met on Tinder became "a monster"
A brave domestic abuse victim has spoken about her suffering at the hands of a bodybuilder whom she met on Tinder and who she said strangled her, broke her ribs, and then later broke into her home after their relationship had ended in an attempt to win her back.
In a column she wrote for The Sun, 23-year-old Bethan Thomas-Rowlands, of Bridgend, South Wales, describes how when she first met 22-year-old Garth Rees on dating app Tinder, he was "charming" but that he soon showed his true colors and "was a monster."
She describes how, in the beginning, she was "bowled over by his charm and good looks" and that in the first four months of their relationship everything was smooth-sailing — they would regularly have dinner in beautiful restaurants, he was popular with her parents, and they moved in together.
