One man was observed striking a woman hard enough to knock her to the ground as the brawl grew more violent to the point where other people ended up sliding over the seats. The impact caused her to fall a few rows, but she stood back up right away. A policeman could be seen monitoring the fight before other officers ran over to intervene. Arizona State University Police stated that one unknown person was arrested for aggravated assault, and five anonymous people were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting as a result of the event.
The Arizona Coyotes defeated the Boston Bruins on Friday night as Lawson Crouse scored his second goal with 13.5 seconds left in the third period. The winning goal helped the Coyotes snap a 19-game losing streak against the Bruins.
The Coyotes played at Mullett Arena for the first time since November 3 after returning from a 14-game road trip. Josh Brown's goal 23 seconds into the game gave them a fantastic lead, and Nick Schmatz's goal in the third quarter gave them a 3-2 advantage. Nick Foligno's power-play goal for the NHL-leading Bruins with 5 1/2 minutes remaining leveled the score, but the Coyotes won it in the waning seconds after an icing was ruled to be off.
