Doorbell footage shows horrifying moment woman in van kidnaps 4 school-going siblings
DETROIT, MICHIGAN: Horrifying video of a woman in a van kidnapping four young school children has surfaced online. While the woman, identified as Stephanie Marie Binder, managed to abduct the kids, police managed to rescue them after the kidnapper ran a red light.
A doorbell footage of the moment of the kidnapping has been making circles online in which a white van is seen on the opposite side of the road. The van is seen speeding in and screeching to a halt. This is followed by screaming and shouting noises; the doorbell footage could only partially capture the incident as a tree blocked the view.

Police said four siblings, aged five, seven, eight, and 11, were allegedly abducted by Marie Binder, 37, on November 30 as the siblings were walking to school at 7:30 am. Wayne County Prosecutor's Office reported that the van Marie Binder was driving was stolen. She had all four children in the van when she ran the red light around Grand River Avenue and Evergreen Avenue. She was pulled over by Detroit police officers and the four children were rescued.
Police said when the officers pulled her over, they had no idea there were abducted children in the van. But as the police officers approached the vehicle and got a closer look at the inside, they saw the kids. On seeing the kids, the officers felt something was wrong.
In a press conference, Police Chief James White explained how they questioned Stephanie if the kids were hers. She boldly lied and told them yes; but when the officer took a look at the kids, all four of them were simultaneously shaking their heads as if trying to say 'no' and refute what Stephanie had just said.
Marie Binder was arrested and charged with kidnapping, child enticement, unlawful imprisonment, unlawful driving of an automobile, receiving and concealing stolen property which in her case was a vehicle. On the first two law breaks, she has been charged with four counts, on others it is a single count.
Stephanie Binder is in no way related to the four children, neither they know her, nor does she. The kids have been safely returned to their family without much harm.
Stephanie on the other hand was arraigned on Friday. Her bond is claimed to be set at $5 million.
