Muslim mother asked to ‘go back to where she came from’ after being abused and shoved at Pennsylvania water park

An unidentified burly woman can be seen making a fowl expression while raising her middle finger at the mother in front of many children
UPDATED AUG 8, 2019

PENNSYLVANIA: A white woman was seen physically as well as verbally abusing a Muslim mother at the Sesame Place water park in Pennsylvania. The entire incident was captured on camera by the mother, Zafirah Moore, on Tuesday, August 6.

The unidentified harasser allegedly told Moore "to go back to where she came from". However, that phrase was not captured on camera.

The video clip begins with the unknown woman outraged by Moore's presence at the water park.

The burly woman can be seen making a fowl expression while raising her middle finger at the camera in front of many children.

Moore can be heard saying in response, "Wow, in front of all these kids. This is terrible! This woman told me to go back to where I came from!!"

The unidentified woman then responds by saying, "Go f**k yourself, you b***h!" She then proceeds to grab Moore's cell phone while screaming, "Don't take no pictures of me!"

The pair then get into a small fight and the camera shuts off. The cause and reason for the scuffle are not yet known.

Moore spoke to CBS Philly on Wednesday and said that she was shocked at what the woman had told her "to go back where you come from".

Moore shared that she was born in West Philadelphia. "I just want to tell her that I'm a person. I don't look like everyone else, I don't dress like everyone else, but I am a person," she added. "You can't just go around saying anything to anybody... There was no need to say that to me."

Even though Moore says she wants to forgive the woman, she is contemplating whether or not to press charges.

Sesame Place water park released a statement saying that the woman will not be allowed to return to the park. "Sesame Place only welcomes respect for others and does not tolerate this type of behavior. The guest depicted in that video was promptly removed from the park and will not be permitted to return. Creating safe and enjoyable experiences for all guests is our top priority."
