A 28-year-old woman in Florida was sentenced to 40 years in prison Tuesday after she filmed herself abusing a six-year-old boy, according to reports. The child pornographer, identified as Christine Alyce Slayman, pleaded guilty to producing at least 18 videos of either abusing the child or instructing him to engage in sexual acts, Daily Mail reported.

Although Slayman confessed to committing the crime, she claimed she was forced to perform these acts by her boyfriend, who has not yet been indicted. According to investigators, Slayman abused the child over several months in 2015, when she was living in King William, Virginia.

She reportedly made videos of the abuse on her phone and brought them with her when she moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Authorities were first alerted of the case when they received a tip-off, officials then raided her home, she was eventually arrested when they discovered the videos.

Slayman's attorney, Dale Carson, said she was "critically instructed" by her boyfriend to abuse the six-year-old and record it. Carson, according to NBC12, wrote: "Following [her boyfriend's] orders, Ms. Slayman then sent those videos from her cell phone to [him]. Ms. Slayman immediately deleted the video off her cell phone. Unknown to Ms. Slayman, [her boyfriend] copied those videos onto a USB thumb drive. "

"Later, [her boyfriend] personally brought the thumb drive to Jacksonville in 2017 when the couple moved from Virginia. [Slayman’s boyfriend’s] purpose in retaining the videos was to later extort behavior consistent with his desires. [Slayman] gave as much information to the Government as she possibly could in hopes of [her boyfriend] also being held responsible for his role in these actions, though he has not yet been indicted," the attorney added.

Slayman will serve at least four decades behind bars and her remaining years will be under supervision after her release from incarceration. An agent with Homeland Security, James Spero, said they will be ending the investigation into the case: "While today’s sentencing marks an end to the investigation and prosecution of this criminal, it is important to remember that a child will carry the scars of this crime for their lifetime."
