A 44-year-old pedophile reportedly begged his 14-year-old victim to not report him to police because he did not want to get raped in prison. The suspect, identified as Milwaukee Fire Department lieutenant Robert Olson, reportedly molested the girl on multiple occasions and texted her begging her to remain silent about the assault.

Olson was arrested on November 20, and according to police records, he was apprehended in uniform while he was on duty at an MFD facility, Fox6 Now reported.

According to prosecutors, Olson sent multiple text messages to the girl, and one of them read: "I am so sorry got [sic] what happened, I didn’t mean to, please don’t go, please don’t tell anyone, I am going to prison, I’m going to get raped. I am so sorry...I want to help you..."

He reportedly also sent messages to the girl's family begging them for clemency. His message to them read: "In the last three months since this happened, I have done a ton of work to regain trust. I have already made extreme life changes and carry this every day like a 100-pound weight no matter what it looks like on the outside. I assure you I've taken ownership and I'm still trying to..."

It is not yet clear how Olson knew the girl or when the attacks occur. Further details of the alleged abuse have not yet been released. An investigation into Olson's conduct has also been launched by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The department released a statement, saying they were taking the matter extremely seriously. He is set to be suspended from his job pending investigation.

Olson faces one count of sexual assault of a child under the age of 16, and his cash bond has been set at $7,500. The suspect's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 2, and he has been ordered to not have any contact with children under the age of 17.
