Spoilers for 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The highly anticipated Season 2 of ‘Sweet Tooth’ has finally been released on Netflix and just like we expected, the latest edition is much darker than the previous one. The first season ended with Dr. Aditya trying to find a cure for the disease that has already killed a lot of people and his wife, Rani, might be next. They have been held captive by Genera Abbott who forces Aditya to begin working on a cure for The Sick. The first edition ended with Aditya working on a cure while hybrids were captured by General Abbot.
Season 2 is all about getting the hybrids out of Abbot’s captivity and Aditya (Adeel Akhtar) working on a cure. The hybrids are trying to stay strong in such difficult times and make a plan to get out of the Zoo. Meanwhile, Aditya is really close to finding a cure. However, things go haywire when the samples he tests turn out to be positive. The doctor gets really frustrated because he was unable to find a cure for his wife.

Elsewhere, the hybrids are able to escape the zoo with the help of Gus (Christian Convery) and Aimee. They leave the premises and head toward Yellowstone National Park. However, the situation is still very dangerous for them as General Abbot is still after them and wants to kill every single hybrid for ruining his plan to create a society that is not “sick.”
Is Gus dead?
The ending moments of Season 2 see Gus and Aimee trying to help the hybrids by fighting Abbot and his army. Although the fight ends with General Abbot dying, he fires an arrow from the crossbow and hits Gus. Fortunately, Gus survives. But while he is unconscious, he sees his mother crying out loud for help in his dreams. What will Gus do now?
Will there be a Season 3 of ‘Sweet Tooth’?
With such an ending, there’s a very high possibility that ‘Sweet Tooth’ will return for Season 3. The finale ends with Gus getting to know that his mother, Birdie, went to Alaska to find the “Fountain of Youth” that could help in making the cure. Gus makes a decision of travelling to Alaska in order to find his mother.
Also, we might be seeing a new villain emerging in Season 3 in the form of Mrs. Zhang. She made an appearance in Episode 5 of Season 2 and was there to give all her support to Abbot. However, she seems to be having some other plans and wants to get her hands on the cure so that she can keep her people safe.
Season 3 seems to be inevitable. Let’s see how soon Netflix announces that ‘Sweet Tooth’ will return for another edition.
