"Secret Service" started trending on Twitter after CNN reported on Thursday, December 17 that President Donald Trump "told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, only to be walked down from that ledge.”

If a report by the outlet is to be believed, the president has not only refused to stop tweeting about "rigged election" and how he was the real winner of the 2020 race even after the Electoral College voted in favor of President-elect Joe Biden earlier this week, Trump has also started claiming that he will not vacate the premises on January 20, when his term ends. “In his moments of deepest denial,” the report said, “Trump has told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, only to be walked down from that ledge.”

The possibility of Trump simply choosing to squat in the Washington DC residence without rhyme or reason post-January 20, has alarmed many White House aides, although most of them believe that he will ultimately not follow through with his claims. "He's throwing a f*****g temper tantrum," an adviser said. "He's going to leave. He's just lashing out."

One former US official and two experts told Newsweek last month that if push comes to shove, the Secret Service will be the one to remove the president from the White House. According to the 20th Amendment if any leader loses his presidential mandate on January 20 at noon, and, still tries to stick around after that, the very guard once tasked with protecting the leader of the country would have to evict him. "The Secret Service would escort him off, they would treat him like any old man who'd wandered on the property," one former official involved in the transition process between former President Barack Obama and Trump told Newsweek.

Soon after CNN's report, people on Twitter started mocking Trump, even offering to pay a live telecast of the president being carried out by the Secret Service. "When sociopath refuses to leave our house, the Secret Service know what to do. #LoserInTheWhiteHouse #FreshVoicesRise," one of them said, while another wrote, "Trump's now claiming he'll refuse to leave the White House, which means a Secret Service agent will have to stand outside, dropping a trail of french fries leading to a van."

A third commented, "#Breaking: Secret Service leaks plans to get #TrumpIsACompleteFailure out of the Whitehouse. It involves string and a chicken wing." One more remarked, "If the Secret Service sold tickets to watch Trump get dragged out of the White House on Jan 20th, would they raise $1,000,000?" The next quipped, "I want the forced removal of Trump by the Secret Service to be televised live." Another said, "Ask any Secret Service agent what the former President becomes at 12:00:01 pm on January 20 if he won’t leave the White House."

One more asked, "If Trump getting dragged out of our White House by the Secret Service was a pay per view event, would you buy it?" Another user stated, "Trump has told some advisers he will refuse to leave the White House. A special Secret Service team is reportedly drawing straws for that coveted detail." A commenter noted, "Did I just hear Trump told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House?? I hope all the Secret Service Agents he infected with the Trump virus are healthy, and strong enough to drag him out by then!!"

Another tweeted, "So, @CNNsays that Orange Agolf Twitler plans on refusing to leave the White House. Oh what a joy it would be to see him, his disgusting family and his minions literally being dragged out by Secret Service, the military or both. Please do it. I have my wine ready."
