Will Michelle Obama run for the 35th presidential election?
Another poll allegedly indicated that Donald Trump, despite his indictment issues, is still a favorite and may get a lead over his opposition.
Apparently, Biden’s 'dementia' rumor has reportedly rattled Democrats. In this situation, the “draft Michelle” campaign has allegedly started surreptitiously in party circles.
The Telegraph reported on August 10 that Michelle could be the alternative to Biden if the situation calls for it.
A Democrat source told the news outlet, “If Michelle announced, the election would go immediately from a hotly contested footrace to a landslide.”
Another source noted that the former POTUS, Barack Obama has pointed out Trump is a difficult opponent because of his “intensely loyal following” and the nation being a “polarized country.” So there is an intense requirement for a “more formidable candidate.”
Thus an insider remarked, “Democrats say somebody has to stop Trump and Barack knows Michelle is the best person to do it! Party heavyweights are secretly testing the waters for support.”
Who is Barack Obama supporting for the presidential election?
Per the news outlet, Barack Obama is invested in the upcoming presidential election. Even though he has publicly supported Biden, he was rumored to be conducting secret meetings with high-ranking party leaders for an alternate Democrat candidate.
Another source informs the outlet, “Barack recognizes the gravity of the situation with Joe’s disappointing poll numbers.”
They continued, “He had hoped that the president would have rallied and come into his own at this point, but that clearly hasn’t happened.”
Highlighting the urgency of the situation, they opined, “With 2024 growing closer and closer, he had to act since he apparently fears Joe is getting too old and frail to win.”
Someone else said to the RadarOnline, “While Barack has already endorsed Biden, he’s reneged in private and will publicly throw Joe overboard in a heartbeat if he thinks that the election is on the line.”
Kamala Harris nomination might result in Trump victory
It was also reported by Fox in May that a former White House and Pentagon official Douglas MacKinnon opined that if Biden or Kamala Harris are not in the run for the presidential election, the Democrats may bring in someone from the past to compete in the election.
Another report by Politico said that some "high-level Democrats" are not confident for the octogenarian president to start with a second term.
The report allegedly read, "High-level Democrats are rallying to President Biden's reelection, not because they think it's in the best interest of the country to have an 82-year-old start a second term but because they fear the potential alternative: the nomination of Kamala Harris and election of Donald Trump,” per Wion.
