Fans of the 'Fatanstic Beasts' series are very upset about Johnny Depp not being in the third film, 'Fantastic Beasts 3: The Secrets of Dumbledore'. The trailer of the film has just dropped. Depp, who played Grindelwald in the first two films, lost the role after being accused of being abusive towards Amber Heard during their marriage from 2017 to 2020. The case will not go to trial until 2022.

It began after Depp was accused of domestic violence towards Amber Heard. Depp, calling Heard's claims a "choreographed hoax”, had applied for permission to appeal the verdict so he could introduce new evidence. Soon after, Warner Bros. not only removed Depp from the film but also from the franchise as a whole.

Warners Bros. remained silent on the issue, but actor Dan Fogler earlier took to social media to open up about the controversy. "What's best for Johnny and what’s best for the film may not be equal. The right decision may not be what’s fair. It’s not simple. I love Johnny and want him to be the best he can be. I selfishly want him at his best if I ever get to work with him again," he had said.

Fans may be wondering whether Depp will ever return as Grindlewald, but Warner Bros. has not officially confirmed anything about the same. All we know as of now if that Depp has been removed from the entire movie franchise. Fans have now taken to social media to express their dissent over Depp's removal, and to demand that the actor be brought back.

What is social media saying?

"Johnny Depp is trending because people will not be silent in the face of Warner Brothers injustice for firing a survivor of abuse, while still employing his abuser Amber Heard. It's time for Warner Brothers to be held accountable for their egregious choice," one user said. "I’m sorry, but johnny depp is my grindelwald", another user said.

"No hate on Mads Mikkelsen but Johnny Depp will always be my Gellert Grindelwald," one user said, while another said, "If you want to watch Fantastic Beasts, I get it but please don't give them your money. Warner Brothers don't deserve any profit off it after everything they've done to Johnny Depp." "I will be boycotting #SecretsOfDumbledore & all future installments of the #FantasticBeasts franchise, because Warner Brothers fired an abuse victim, #JohnnyDepp, while continuing to employ his evidence proven abuser Amber Heard. I stand for truth, justice, & accountability," one user wrote.
