Did Trump Jr announce a presidential run in 2024? Internet says he is 'not welcome'

Teasing a potential presidential run in 2024, President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr, posted a picture on Instagram, endorsing his candidacy in the 2024 Elections on Saturday, October 24. 

"Hahahahaha. Oh boy. This was a sign I saw up at the Fallon Nevada Livestock Auction. This will make the lib heads explode🤯. To whomever made that thanks for the compliment... but let’s get through 2020 with a big win first!!!! 🤣🤣🤣📸 @DougDefelice," Trump Jr posted on Instagram.

According to a Forbes report, "48%. That’s the share of Americans who had an unfavorable view of Donald Trump Jr. in a YouGov/Economist poll in March, compared to just 36% who expressed a favorable view – though he has 71% favorability among Republicans. Eric Trump was less known in the poll, with a 32% favorability and 43% unfavorability overall and 64% favorability among Republicans."

He is not the only Republican star who is planning to become the face of the 2024 Elections, other Democrats who have hinted in a similar direction includes, Vice President Mike Pence, Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) are just a few of the dozens of names that have been mentioned in recent months. 

As soon as the news came to light on social media, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user wrote, "It will never happen. After they lose the Senate and the WH in this election, the Republicans are going to do everything in their power to distance themselves from all things Trump." While another one said, "It would be laughable. And I am sure that there are a few rich idiots that will fund them. But the GOP is going to be shattered and broken for a few yrs."

Slamming Trump, another one said, "There should be experience requirements to run for president. Like public service experience. Also, no criminal background. No history of lying or manipulation. We're in big(ger) trouble if these buffoons get support to run." Guessing the next move, another one said, "They're going to set up campaigns, but purely as a money laundering vehicle. They can't quit that grift. That's just one reason we need #CampaignFinanceReform."

Calling President Trump's supporters a "cult", another one said, "Personality cults do not work when the great leader goes. Supporters are loyal to the individual. These idiots are living in a fantasy where they get to be Kim Jong Un who inherits their father's power. Might work in North Korea, but not in a country with a history of democracy." Pointing out at Elections 2020 one said, "Another reason #Vote2020 needs to be a sweep, so the future Trump generations know they're not welcome." Saying a big "NO" to the Trump family, one netizen said wrote, "One of my fears..... I can’t deal with Trump family like we dealt with the Bush family. I mean, one and done, never again!! Never should’ve ever anyways! This is just a NO!!"
