Plot
'Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks' follows the captains and their boats, alongside their crew members, as they set out to catch the lucrative and elusive bluefin tuna off the coast of North Carolina. Aside from the unpredictable weather and raging waters, the captains have to compete with the seasoned locals in order to lay their hands on the biggest catch of the season. Aside from the competition, the reality show gives us a glimpse into the issues that the fishermen face in the area. The show has become a smashing success for National Geographic, thanks to its innovative concept.

The cast of 'Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks' comprises of some of the most talented and skilled captains who are ready to embark on an adventure of a lifetime. The ships that have been confirmed to return in Season 7 are Falcon, captained by Dave Marciano; Hot Tuna, captained by TJ Ott; Pinwheel, captained by Tyler McLaughlin; Kahuna, captained by Reed Meredith; Offshore Outlaw, captained by Adam Price; Rasta Rocket, captained by Zack Shackleton and Reel E’ Bugging, captained by Bobby Earl. Reel E’ Bugging was the season winner in the sixth edition.

The show is executive produced by Craig Piligian. Piligian is best known for creating 'The Ultimate Fighter, 'American Chopper' and 'Dirty Jobs' series for Discovery Channel.
