BEL AIR, CALIFORNIA: World-renowned celebrity chef and restauranteur Gordon Ramsay's appearance on the hit FOX show 'Kitchen Nightmares' is widely considered to be reality television gold.

The famously cuss-word-loving Ramsay went from restaurant to restaurant during the show, renovating and improving their businesses and hoping that they would wake up from their 'kitchen nightmares'.

The popular show ran for a total of 7 seasons with a total of 92 episodes before it all came to an end in 2014.

The show's end cast a dark spell over most of its viewers since they were used to the high-paced antics and conflict-fueled drama that the show brought to the table.

In an interview given to Entertainment Weekly, Ramsay revealed why the show was not renewed.

He stated: "I woke up in the middle of the south of France after filming a week with a British guy I wouldn't trust to run my bath, let alone my restaurant."

He added, "Because he was running a ski resort, he felt like he could take advantage of all those customers because there was nowhere else to eat. He was giving me shit for telling him the truth and I thought, 'I'm done.'"

Fans of 'Kitchen Nightmares' are finally in luck as the 8th season is all set to air on September 25, 2023, at 8 PM on FOX.

Gordon Ramsay regrets quitting 'Kitchen Nightmares'

In the aftermath of the show's cancellation, Ramsay was reportedly struck with guilt.

Though he chose to end the show himself out of his own accord because he was 'angry', Ramsay felt that he shouldn't have given in to the impulse.

In an interview, he mentioned realizing that his decision had been a mistake and that it was "wrong" to pull his own show off the air.

Many restaurants appearing on 'Kitchen Nightmares' didn't survive

Despite Ramsay's international fame and his seven Michelin stars, it is quite interesting to note that the majority of restaurants that were featured on the show didn't survive despite Gordon's interventions.

According to reports, a shocking 60 percent of the restaurants that took Ramsay's help closed down their businesses.

Ramsay's response to this has been markedly stoic.

He clarified that many of the restaurants he helped revamp had careless business owners who reverted back to their redundant business practices and didn't learn from their mistakes. He claims that they refused to stick to the path suggested by him.
