Sorry folks, no 'Grey's Anatomy' today, you're going to have to put up with a staggeringly long wait for the next episode, which is on March 4.  So, don't hold your breath to find out what's going to happen to Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and whether she will actually survive this season. The last we checked, Meredith, who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, has been put on a ventilator. She was practically unconscious for the past few episodes and her limbo was a happy beach with her dead husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).

Derek died in a heartstopping car crash back in Season 11 and Meredith never quite moved on from him, even though she was quite happy with Andrew DeLuca. Derek is waiting for her in the afterlife, but she can only cross over to him if she decides to die. This explains what Derek means when he keeps telling her that the 'sand isn't real'. On the other hand, we also got a surprise visit from George O' Maley (TR Knight) who also died in an accident back at the end of Season 5...god, who hasn't died on this show?

Oh, and DeLuca and Karina are chasing down a sex trafficker, who just might pull the gun on them. It's 'Grey's Anatomy', you never know. The medical drama enjoys twisting the knife whenever possible. It has already been a chaotic season so far, as even Tom Koracick (Greg Germann) got diagnosed with Covid-19 and almost died. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) has been trying to piece herself together, as she has lost both the men in her life. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) is still not particularly pleased with her, for good reason, as she cheated on him with Tom, continuously. And so, he didn't turn up for their wedding. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) had a rough time too, as she had to watch her mother die.

Meanwhile, there's much speculation about whether Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) is leaving the show. Jo has been grieving ever since her husband Alex (Justin Chambers) left her for his ex-wife Izzy Stevens (Katherine Heigl). She finally realized her calling might not be surgery and could head into obygn like her ex-husband.

'Grey's Anatomy' returns on March 4, ABC at 9 pm.
