Why did Lauren Boebert dump Quinn Gallagher? 'Second-baseman' did not divulge an important bit of info
DENVER, COLORADO: Republican congresswoman from Colorado Lauren Boebert reportedly ended her romance with Quinn Gallagher after it was revealed that the Aspen bar owner is a Democrat.
The 36-year-old far-right politician and Gallagher recently caused a furor by getting evicted from a theater during a performance of the 'Beetlejuice' musical on Sunday, September 10.
The mother of four and the Democrat, whose bar in Aspen is known for hosting drag parties, were seen fondling each other while sitting in the packed theater.
Boebert was also seen vaping, though she initially denied this. The duo was later kicked out of the theater when she showed the usher the middle finger.
However, as per TMZ, Boebert will not continue her romance with Gallagher - more precisely, she will not go on a second date with him.
Boebert told TMZ, “I have learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date.”
Calling the father of one a “wonderful man,” the Republican representative categorically stated there won't be a second date.
However, she shared that they parted amicably. “He's a private citizen, and we have peacefully parted at this time,” Boebert said, before adding, “Great man, great friend, and I wish him all the best,”
Who is Quinn Gallagher?
Gallagher hails from Boebert’s hometown in Rifle, Colorado and still has family there, per Daily Mail.
He is the co-owner of the Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen where he is partnered with Pat Flanigan since 2022, per Newsweek.
The bar is known for hosting drag shows, which are deemed immoral by the congresswoman who once tweeted, “Take your children to Church, not drag bars," per the publication.
Per social media posts, the bar previously hosted “a winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show.”
The Cocktail Bar also acted as the venue of Aspen Gay Ski Week’s "evening of cocktails, appetizers, and laughs" in January 2020.
Did Lauren Boebert apologize for the theater fiasco?
Since the incident, Boebert has issued an apology for her erratic behavior. She said in a statement on Friday, per The Colorado Sun, “The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community.”
She added, “There's no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made a challenging personal time for me and my entire family.”
Boebert continued, “While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that.”
Blaming her “public and difficult divorce” with Jayson Boebert for her behavior, she added, “I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday.”
She also blamed her “overly animated personality” for her behavior, saying, “I was a little too eccentric.”
She added, “I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality,” and explained, “I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time.”
“Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did but then my next slip-up was taking a picture,” Boebert said, per Daily Mail.
