Why did Aaliyah Cosby leave 'Love is Blind' Season 5? Star claims 'something was not adding up' with Uche Okoroha's story
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: Netflix's 'Love is Blind' Season 5 star Aaliyah Cosby opens up about why she actually left the Netflix show in the middle. The star claimed that "something was not adding up" as she heard Uche Okoroha and his ex Lydia Arleen's story. This made her doubt whether she was in the right situation and left the pod abruptly.
Aaliyah said in an interview with Hanging With The Hamiltons that after knowing that Uche and Lydia were in a relationship before the show she didn't know if it was a "coincidence." She said, "I don't know if maybe you told her 'Hey, I'm not interested anymore,' maybe she wasn't ready to let you go."
Aaliyah claimed, "I think me having these thoughts totally fair. because it's just weird to me."
She further confessed about feeling betrayed by Uche and Lydia as they hid the fact about them dating in the past. Aaliyah claimed that she told Uche that Lydia was her closest friend but he still chose not to reveal the truth. Aaliyah claimed that she was also disheartened seeing Lydia not open up to her even after they built a strong friendship in the pod.
Did Aaliyah Cosby and Uche Okoroha connect after 'Love is Blind' Season 5?
Aaliyah revealed that after 'Love is Blind' Season 5 ended its filming she met Uche. The star said, "After leaving the show Uche and I did have a conversation."
However, Aaliyah and Uche's conversation was not smooth. The star revealed that they had a "rocky conversation." Uche was angry with Aaliyah for leaving the pod abruptly. Aaliyah said, "He was so angry about me leaving and that was totally understandable." Aaliyah claimed Uche was "blindsided."
Aaliyah understood that it was not easy for Uche to take her sudden exit from the show. But, what he did not understand was she was having a hard time as well. Aaliyah claimed, "I didn't have enough time to really process everything."

Aaliyah was not seen anywhere in 'Love is Blind' Season 5 BBQ. The BBQ was filmed a week after the show ended. Therefore, there was not much of a time gap.
Aaliyah revealed she was "nervous" coming to the camera again. Other than this, she was also nervous about knowing how aggressive and angry can Uche be "when he is leading with fear."
She said, "I was like I don't know how much more I can take of that side of his." Aaliyah then revealed feeling "emotionally beat up" during the time the BBQ was filmed. Therefore, she chose to stay out of the drama and not come for it.
