'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg urged 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden to choose former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

While on the show, Golberg shared, "As Joe Biden looks more and more like the Democratic nominee, there’s a lot of speculation over who he’ll pick as his vice president, Stacey Abrams, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar have been mentioned. I don’t know. What do you think? Who is it?"

Goldberg's co-host Joy Behar responded and said, "He should pick a woman, I think. Don’t you? … A white, Latino or black woman, either one I think would work, but I think it has to be a woman." Co-host Meghan McCain speculated that Trump may kick out Pence and put in Nikki Haley.

Goldberg then revealed, "The person who really is qualified to do it, and he cannot pick her: Hillary Clinton. In terms of qualifications, she is, she would be brilliant." She added that Biden would not be able to pick Clinton as his vice president because of all the 'backlash' that would follow.

Actor James Woods had predicted earlier this month that Biden would pick Clinton to be his running mate. Woods had taken to Twitter to share, "So I pretty much predicted this. It’ll be #Biden and #Hillary as his vice-presidential candidate. He will eventually 'gracefully' resign as his dementia worsens and... Voila! #MadamePresident at last! (and in case he gets indicted for his Ukraine corruption, she’ll pardon him."

Former VP Joe Biden in the Democratic debate held at Washington on March 15 reiterated that he will choose a woman as his running mate should he win the Democratic presidential nomination. He said: "I commit that I will, in fact, pick a woman to be vice president. There are a number of women who are qualified to be president tomorrow. I would pick a woman to be my vice president.”
