Who is the ‘person of interest’ in the Maine shooting?
Robert Card, 40, of Bowdoin, is believed to be the person behind the deadliest mass shooting of the year that killed at least 18 people and injured at least 13, per Daily Mail.
On Wednesday, October 25, the suspect went on a shooting spree after open firing at a Lewiston bowling alley and a bar.
He was named the ‘person of interest’ by police on the same day and police started the manhunt for Card.
On Thursday, police also searched his Bowdoin home and found a letter believed to be a suicide note written to his son.
Just before 10 pm on Wednesday, police also found his abandoned car near a boat dock from Lisbon, a town located seven miles from Lewiston. The police also think he has probably fled in a Jet Ski.
Police also revealed that Card has presumably "interacted with conspiratorial content" online. Some of the topics in which his interest lies include the financial crisis/stock market, LGBTQ+ issues, gun rights, and commentaries about President Joe Biden and other Democratic Party officials.
