Who was Eunice Dwumfour? FBI probes ‘personal attack’ as newlywed GOP councilwoman shot 7 times in the face
SAYREVILLE, NEW JERSEY: FBI team is now actively involved in Eunice Dwumfour’s case and is investigating the death of a young councilwoman. The politician was 'shot in the face seven times' while she was driving an SUV near her home. Governor Phil Murphy said it was a 'not politically motivated' attack. The tragic incident took place in Sayreville, New Jersey on Wednesday night, February 1. After the incident was reported, Dwumfour’s friends referred to it as a 'targeted and personal attack'.
Nelia Rodriguez, a friend, and Pastor told The Ingraham Angle that she finds the attack to be ‘personal,’ she further stated: “We believe it [was] very personal because she was shot seven times in the face and another seven shots were hitting everywhere else.” She also adds, “So for somebody to get so close to somebody and shoot them so many times, it has to be personal.”

Who was Eunice Dwumfour?
Dwumfour was a newlywed, who married a Nigerian pastor during thanksgiving time. She used to live with her 12-year-old daughter from a past relationship.
Notably, she was elected to the Sayreville Borough Council in 2021. Dwumfour managed to oust a sitting Democrat in the Borough of Sayreville in November 2021, which was a shocker for many political analysts, reports DailyMail. She would have run the office until 2024.
Talking about Dwumfour, her sister Priscilla said, “She was always happy, very humble, and had respect.” Friends of the councilwoman paid tribute to her and called her an 'amazing friend' who 'loved god'. Detective Juan Rodriguez and Pastor Doctor Nelia Rodriguez reacted to the killing online and said, “I just saw her this morning at the store. I remember saying to her I'll see you at the HRC meeting tomorrow not knowing tonight was going to be the end of her life. I can't stop crying. She was 30 years young and full of life. You will be missed my dear, precious friend.”
'The community is shocked'
Sayreville Mayor Victoria Kilpatrick said in a statement, “The community is shocked and saddened at the loss of Eunice Dwumfour, who was a dedicated member of our Borough Council who was truly committed to serving all of our residents. The fact that she was taken from us by a despicable criminal act makes this incident all the more horrifying.” Sayreville Republican Chair Karen Bailey also reacted to the tragic incident and said, “We remember Eunice for how she lived, not for how she died. She was the embodiment of Sayreville, living the American Dream, overcoming challenges with grit and a smile.”
